Foreclosures Through the Roof
Saturday, June 20th, 2009In a recent USA Today article is was reported that foreclosures continue to increase across the country, as people are still hoping that President Obama’s $75 billion plan will kick in. The plan has helped $190,000 loan modifications take place. Many homeowners are still having troubles receiving the service through the Obama plan. Many complain that their phone calls are not returned and time is running out.
An economist Joe Nardoff said, “Some lenders may not be turning (homeowners) down right away because it might be politically easier to push them off or delay.”
The demand for assistance is bound to grow as people continue to lose jobs. Lenders say they are doing their best, it is clear that there is a lot more work to be done.
